To keep your new piece sparkling and beautiful, we include a mini polishing cloth for you to use in the comfort of your home.

We recommend that you take care when using perfume, sunscreen, and alcohol/chemical-based products.

Although safe to wear 24/7, if you can, remove your jewellery when swimming, showering, or exercising, and store it safely, this will prolong the longevity of your precious jewels.

We recommend rinsing your pieces very well after any contact with soaps and salt or chlorinated water, then polishing with your cloth.

Yes, sterling silver will tarnish.

Part of the beauty of sterling silver is that it will age with wear and exposure.

There are many situations that can cause silver to tarnish.

  • Dampness and sun exposure can accelerate oxidation. (Such as a hot day and slightly sweating hands)
  • Certain environments, like a salon/spa (chemicals in the air)
  • Your body’s own chemical reaction

When your pieces are not being worn, keep them sealed in acid free bags and in a dark, dry area.

Please note: we recommend that pearl charms are not to be worn in the water and are to be kept away from lotions and perfumes.

14k Gold Fill has a wonderfully amazing ability to stay bright and has a comparable long life to solid karat gold jewellery, and 14k Gold Fill is far more durable and tarnish resistant compared to gold plated jewellery.

Although gold fill doesn’t tarnish in the same manner as sterling silver, it can darken under certain circumstances; Gold fill can darken if you have a brass allergy or when its exposed to chemicals.

METAL SENSITIVITIES

There are so many types of metal sensitivities. Some people are simply allergic to Sterling Silver. Often these people can only wear high carat gold (a smaller percentage of base metals in the mix). If you are very sensitive to copper, then you may have a problem with sterling silver. If you are very sensitive to brass, then you may have a strong reaction to gold fill as the core is brass.
